Ed.D., Educational Leadership, University of Phoenix; M.A., Biology, University of Colorado Boulder; B.A. Science Education, Clark Atlanta University // Dr. Howard passed away on September 24, 2021, and served as CEO of the Lincoln Hills Cares Foundation. He was a Colorado native who loved the great outdoors. His spirit of environmental stewardship took root and blossomed early, leading to a career in public education as a scientist, adjunct professor, teacher, coach, and principal; a governor-appointed quality teacher commission member; and a published writer. Teaching and learning were the passions he pursued for more than 30 years. More importantly, he introduced hundreds of inner-city youth to the Rocky Mountains throughout his career in public education. He was a husband, a father to three children, and grandfather to five.
