Ed. D. // Dr. Jeanette Patterson recently retired after 29 years as a K-12 public school educator. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science from Emporia State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova SE University. She has studied Leading Educational Systems and Women in Leadership at Harvard University and currently holds a certificate for Diversity Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
In 2014, Dr. Patterson was named the Colorado Middle Level Principal of the Year by the Colorado Association for School Executives. She was a 2014-15 Education Policy Fellow with the Institute of Educational Leadership i11 Washington DC and was featured in the U.S. Department of Education’s, the Teacher/s Edition Newsletter as Celebrating an African American Educator. Dr. Patterson has published more than 10 scholarly works, presented at statewide and national conferences. She has developed curriculum and is a former executive director of curriculum and instruction, director of human resources and a director of equity. She is involved in her church and has sat on numerous boards and participated in other civic organizations. Dr. Patterson is married to Dr. Jeriod Patterson and they are the parents of one adult child, Seantay Patterson.
