M.S. Environmental Education/Outdoor Leadership, University of Connecticut | Tim’s lifelong dedication to the natural environment, conservation, and education began at an early age through his exploration of the outdoors. He merged his passion with academic achievements in natural and social sciences, making it his personal and professional mission to promote outdoor equity by enhancing access to outdoor education and recreation opportunities. Over the course of nearly two decades, Tim has applied his expertise in various capacities with municipal, private, and nonprofit organizations, specifically within the realms of natural resources, education, and outdoor recreation. Notably, he was honored with the Inspire By Example Award and the Youth Engagement Award from the City of Boulder in 2012 and 2013, recognizing his work in youth development and leadership. Presently, Tim serves on the boards of the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education and the New America Schools, in addition to the Red Rocks Community College Outdoor Education Program Advisory Board. His primary goal is to connect communities by promoting environmental awareness, encouraging participation, and inspiring responsible stewardship of natural resources. Moreover, he strives to bridge the outdoor equity gap by promoting and facilitating access to outdoor and environmental learning opportunities and career pathways.
Throughout his tenure as Director of Programs and Education, Tim has spearheaded the advancement of Lincoln Hills Cares, resulting in numerous nominations and accolades including the Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Award in 2019 and the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education Award for Excellence in 2021.
